When do you need tire chains on your car?

1. Install anti-skid chains before traveling, and do not install them after encountering icy and snowy roads, because installing anti-skid chains during temporary parking is more troublesome than installing them in advance, and it is not conducive to safety.

2. When it is necessary to install or disassemble on the way, it must be on a safe and flat section of the road. No matter where you are, make sure you give yourself at least 10 feet of clear space in front of and behind the car, so there is plenty of room to move the chain. Also, make sure the parking brake is engaged before touching anywhere near the tires to avoid accidents.
3. Buckle the first buckle of each chain of the anti-skid chain on the tire. Then check to make sure that each tire is holding the chain and that each side has a strand of cogs attached.
4. Then slowly move the car forward or backward for a certain distance. After confirming that the snow chain is installed on the tire, fasten the unit through the two opposite sides of the chain link. Finally, start the vehicle slowly, and the installation of the anti-skid chain can be judged by the sound of the wheels pressing against the ground.
5. In any case, do not drive on the road without snow with the chain, it will seriously damage your tires.
