How to Install Car Snow Chains Easily
Jun 22, 2023
When it comes to car snow chains, I believe many riders will say that they are indispensable, and it is also recommended that riders who have cars but have not bought snow chains buy them as soon as possible. Don't wait until it snows in winter to start shopping. In this way, the price will be more expensive, and the second is that because of the rush to buy, there is no time to practice how to install it in advance. Today, the editor of Jinhua Luxiang Chain Co., Ltd will share with you the installation methods and skills.
Be sure to check whether the car is front or rear wheel drive, as the chain must be hooked to the set of tires that do the work. When you know which set of tires you need to apply snow chains to, remove any snow that has been imprinted around the tires to create a flat surface. Spread the chains under the car, and place the first gear of each chain attached to the ground against the tire. Make sure the particle-laden side of the chain is facing the ground, which is the part of the chain that provides traction.
If it's a rear-wheel-drive car, you'll need to bite the chains backwards. If it's a front wheel, push it forward. Check that each tire is holding the chain and that each side has a strand of cogs attached. Then get in the car, start the engine, and slowly and carefully move the car forward or backward with the chain about 2 feet or so.
Once the tire is seated squarely on the chain, pull off the port lapping the top of the tire. Each end must be a fitting that fits the entire sprocket exactly. Leave yourself 1*2 inches of leeway first, and then fasten the device through the two opposite sides of the chain link. Each rubber ring of the anti-skid chain has 4 metal hooks evenly distributed around. Each metal hook is cross-fixed in a cross-shaped manner on the edge of the wheel hubcap of the tire. This ensures your chain doesn't slip.
The chain should now be securely attached and provide traction on snowy roads. However, don't think that snow chains will guarantee you speed in harsh driving conditions. Start slowly and pay attention to the sounds the cars make, no matter how safe they are to use.
