Why aren't snow chains installed on all four wheels?

There are two types of useful car anti-skid chains, namely beef tendon anti-skid chains and rubber anti-skid chains. Which one is the most effective depends on the driving environment. If you drive in a low-temperature environment, it is best to use rubber anti-skid chains. If the ambient temperature is not low, you can use tendon anti-skid chains instead of rubber anti-skid chains.

Because if the beef tendon anti-skid chains are used at high temperatures, the tendon anti-skid chains will become hard and easy to break, which will have an impact on driving vehicles or passing vehicles.

If the car is usually driven on ice and snow, you can also choose to use iron anti-skid chains. Such anti-skid chains are more durable, but the damage to the tires is more serious.

If possible, anti-skid chains are best installed on four wheels, which is the safest method. But if some people don't want to install them all, then the anti-skid chain must be installed on the driving wheel, and it must be installed in pairs, not just one. Front-wheel drive vehicles need to be installed on the front two wheels, and rear-wheel drive vehicles need to be installed on the rear wheels. In particular, some vehicles are four-wheel drive. At this time, all basic wheels need to be equipped with anti-skid chains.

If installed improperly, it may cause slipping and loss of balance, etc. Therefore, you should choose the appropriate anti-skid chain according to your car model, driving environment, etc., and install it correctly. Only in this way can we better ensure our driving safety.
