It is inevitable to encounter slippery road conditions when traveling by car. At this time, it is necessary to install anti-skid chains. How many anti-skid chains are installed in a car? Is the snow chain installed on the front or rear wheel? Let's give you a detailed introduction.
Generally, only two anti-skid chains are installed on a car. Of course, if conditions permit, all four wheels can be installed, because the safety will be relatively high. If only two wheels are installed, it is easy to shake the tail and slip.
However, installing anti-skid chains on all four wheels is not suitable for all road conditions. Generally, installing two wheels is no problem, only for long-distance transportation; Take the mountain road; 4 wheels will be installed only when the road is icy and the road condition is extremely poor.
The installation sequence of snow chains is also relatively simple.
1. Confirm whether the car is front drive or rear drive, and ensure that the anti-skid chain is installed on the drive wheel with the help of a jack.
2. Start from the wide side of the tire, put the anti-skid chain cover on the appropriate position of the tire, with the side with the hook facing outward and the side without the hook facing inward.
3. Turn the tire to the proper position, hang the inner joint hook on the inner side of the tire, and do not step on the accessories of the snow chain during this process.
4. Adjust the center of the anti-skid chain and tire, and hang the outer round belt.
5. Hang the W hook and close the anti-skid chain.
6. Hang the round belt on the hook in a diagonal way.
The anti-skid chain can only play its major role by hooking the group of tires that play the main role, so the anti-skid chain should be installed on the driving wheel. If the car is front-wheel drive, the anti-skid chain is installed on the front wheel; If it is rear wheel drive, the snow chain is installed on the rear wheel.
